How would you transport a bulldozer larger than a 20ft container ?
I need to know how would it be possible to move a bulldozer that large, not just, contacting a logistic firm but, how would they do it. Over road and sea. Maybe some one knows. Thanks !
Thanks for the answers so far ! Just, how would they carry in on a container ship ? over sea ? any special system ? or just freely ?

On the back of a Low Loader.

Surely you can not fit a bulldozer in a 20ft container.
You can contact any logistic company to help you with this. From my knowledge, Expeditors Inc. is possible to do this.
How large is it and how far is it being transported? They come apart relatively easily if it will save on shipment cost. They move complete houses by road after getting an oversize vehicle permit as well as huge storage tanks. The link is a story about moving a 250 ft long 1/2 million pound press through Virginia. There are plenty of cargo ships that carry things that are not in containers.
All you do is contact a shipping company. They will let you know how much it will cost and how long it will take. Speed is frequently much more important than cost.
You have two main choices.
1. strip the dozer down to a manageable size and ship it in a container
or
2. Move as a complete item using an abnormal movement carrier. This can be moved ny road and sea this way but be prepared to pay greater costs
on a container ship they mite take it apart and put it in different containers
as for over road just put it on a trailer chain it down and go
I noticed something as well about this topic on different blog.Amazingly, your linear perspective on it is diametrically opposite to what I read previously. Im still reflecting over the conflicting points of view, but Im tipped strongly toward your point of view. And in any case, thats what is so outstanding about modern democracy and the marketplace of ideas onthe internet.
